West 111th Street “Yard Sale”

The West 111th Street Block Association is organizing a neighborhood rummage sale on Saturday, April 24 (rain date is April 25). Sellers will set up shop in three locations: at West 111th at Riverside Drive, Broadway, and Amsterdam Avenue (including the “Open Streets” area). Larger items may also be showcased along 111th Street, space permitting.  Sellers will be responsible for setting up, establishing prices and managing their merchandise.

“We wanted to help our neighbors sell, trade, or donate items they don’t need,” said Doug Lavin of the West 111th Street Block Association’s Planning Committee. “It’s a way of offering some local support and encouraging neighbors to engage with each other in a COVID-safe manner.”

Local artisans are encouraged to sell hand-made items as well.

There is no cost to participate, and interested sellers can register here.

In addition, the United War Veterans Council will collect unsold items for donation.

Social distancing and masks are required.
