The company, which held a soft opening on Friday, January 24, also has locations in Williamsburg, SoHo, Forest Hills, and Staten Island. It also plans to open new locations on the Lower East Side and Canal Street in the coming weeks.
“The Upper West Side holds a special place in my heart,” said Moe Ashor, operating partner at The Flowery, in a press release sent to ILTUWS. “I spent countless days here visiting my grandfather, who lived in this neighborhood his entire life. To now be part of this community in such a meaningful way is truly humbling.”
Ashor added that the team has felt a warm welcome from the neighborhood, which means a lot to them.
The grand opening is set for Saturday, February 8, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with DJ sets running from noon to 8 p.m. The event will also feature in-store brand activations and special appearances, according to the company’s announcement.

Currently, the Upper West Side Flowery does not offer delivery on its website, but that may change with the grand opening approaching.
The Flowery’s opening marks the Upper West Side’s third legal cannabis retailer. Just a Little Higher opened in April 2024 at 157 West 72nd Street near Amsterdam Avenue, while Flower Power was the first to launch, opening at 22 West 66th Street near Central Park West earlier that same month.

The UWS holds such a special place in his heart he decided to make it the most expensive dispensary in the area.
So as I walk past this store, I have to smell the sickening odor and get a completely unhealthy second hand high if I don’t run past this outlet. Just what I want !
I appreciate your dislike for the aroma of burning cannabis, but if it makes you feel better there does not appear to be on-site consumption, so there will not be a smell and you will be able to walk at your normal pace.
Nice to have a legal recreational dispensary on the UWS that splits the distance between the previously nearest destinations on 125th and 72nd streets. I’ve been to the Flowery location in Williamsburg and if that is any indication then this looks to be a well-curated high end experience (compared to many other dispensaries which have a family-operated cell phone store aesthetic). I wish them luck.
I wish the real dispensaries had cell phone store vibes. Instead they’re all upscale and overpriced.
For those who prefer CBD and similar products, there is another new store that just opened, called Alter/Native, on Broadway between 84th and 85th Streets (in between Panera and Naya). It is an “upscale” boutique, and the employees are all really nice and knowledgeable.
