Ugly Art Fair

Last modified on January 17th, 2020

Arthouse Hotel New York City will host its first annual “Ugly Art Fair” on Thursday, September 19th. Playing to the age-old adage that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the interactive comedy show will auction off “interesting/unique” pieces of art to the audience, all of which were donated from people in the neighborhood.

Further, anyone that donates a piece of art, even on the day of, will receive a free ticket to the show and a complimentary drink.

Hosted in conjunction with Stand Up NY comedy club, a roster of comedians will serve as auctioneers for the night. Each piece will start around $100 and decrease until someone purchases, rather than increasing like a regular auction. All sales from the auction will be donated to the Highgate Charitable Foundation, which acts as an ‘umbrella organization’ that distributes funds collected to a variety of causes to ensure a far-reaching, global impact.

When: Thursday, September 19, 2019 8:00 PM (Doors open at 7:30 PM)
Where: Arthouse Hotel New York City (2178 Broadway at 77th Street)

Please note, guests must be 18 & over to attend individually; anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is a two-drink minimum and guests must arrive 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Tickets are going for $15 and can be purchased through Stand Up NY here.
