The Manhattan D.A. has announced the indictment of three male suspects for an early January attempted armed robbery which led to a shooting on West 75th Street and a police chase in Riverside Park.
On the afternoon of January 6, the three men – Mark McFadden, 53, Oliver Richardson, 50, and Joseph Gallishaw, 50 – followed a man and his two-year old child in their car for several blocks.
They followed the victim to 75th Street between Columbus and Central Park West, at which point McFadden and Richardson drew their guns. This led to a struggle and McFadden’s gun was discharged.

The suspects fled but were soon spotted by police on the West Side Highway at West 106th Street.
When the cops tried to pull their car over, the suspects ran into Riverside Park. Gallishaw got arrested this point, while Richardson hid and McFadden ran up a flight of stairs before shooting at a police officer.
Police ended up arresting all three men, recovering three guns and clothing from the incident.
All three defendants are being charged with Attempted Robbery, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. McFadden is also being charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Attempted Aggravated Murder of a Police Officer.
Thank you NYPD. Some of us have been rooting for you for decades.
Congrats to the officers of the 24 who pursued, caught and apprehended this criminals and for doing so without any injury to the perpetrators even after having been shot at. What great and fast acting police work.
The officers were honored by the 24 Precinct Community Council and by their commander with Cops of the Month commendations. Protect and Serve. These officers showed how it can be done. Neil
All these scumbags in their 50s, what a joke. Some people are just rotten to the core and never grow up. I’m so glad they were caught!
What kind of deranged idiots with guns follow a man with a 2 year old child for blocks. What did they think they’d get get? And at that age no less!
I agree that this sounds ludicrous. I strongly suspect that there is more to this story than was reported here.
I AGREE! random guy?
“All three defendants are being charged with Attempted Robbery, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child”
There need to be more serious charges. All three should be charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree. I don’t want people like this walking our streets with no regard for the safety of other human beings.
None of the narrative makes any sense. There’s more to this.
