Suspect Wanted for Assaulting Two Women: Police

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault that left two women injured on Tuesday evening.

The attack occurred around 8:23 p.m. on March 3 near West 60th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, within the 20th Precinct. According to police, the suspect approached a 31-year-old woman and punched her in the face with a closed fist, knocking her to the ground. Just one minute later, he struck a second victim — a 27-year-old woman — in the same manner, leaving her with a laceration to her nose.

The first victim sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. The second victim was treated at the scene. The suspect fled on foot, heading eastbound on West 60th Street toward Amsterdam Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a light-complexioned male who was last seen wearing a tan jacket. Surveillance images have been released by the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
