Currently in the midst of a soft-opening that began on May 10, Super Fly Dispensary welcomed ILTUWS to check out its first retail location in the neighborhood, at 57 West 86th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West.

Walking into Super Fly feels different from many dispensaries. Some shops go heavy on the frosted glass and secrecy, giving off a slightly suspect vibe. Others swing the opposite way—bright lights, big windows, and the cold, impersonal feel of a LaGuardia boarding zone. But Super Fly strikes a smooth balance. With Curtis Mayfield playing over the sound system, the place was groovin’ during my visit. The colors flowed, the space breathed, and the natural light gave everything—from the plants to the walls—a subtle, special glow. Bravo.
Super Fly offers everything from flower and pre-rolls to concentrates—which are made by extracting cannabinoids and terpenes to enhance potency—to casual edible selections and even topical creams for soothing aches and pains.
Step through the Super Fly door and you’re greeted at a reception desk, where you’ll show proof that you’re 21 or older. Warm yellow, orange, red, and brown hues ripple across the grooved wood, giving the space a rhythm that feels almost musical. It nods to the ’70s—not your Uncle Ron’s weird basement setup, but more like a psychedelic recording studio with clean lines, open space, and a sleek viewing area where products sit behind glass. Self-service kiosks are available for placing orders, but staff are on hand if you want a little guidance.

A knowledgeable team is available to help curate a selection that’s right for you. Their rep, Alex, said one of his personal favorites is the Nanticoke Coconut Cream 0.5g indica pre-roll, priced at $10. Super Fly carries a wide range of options, from Ayrloom Orchard Sunrise gummies—a sativa-dominant hybrid edible that can give you a morning boost—for $25 a package, to flower grown both in New York and abroad. An eighth of 5 Boro Crème de la Chem, with 21% THC, runs $48. Prefer sweet over sour? Try the Milkweed Lemon Cherry Gelato hybrid with 30.2% THC for $55. Drinks have also emerged as a popular consumption method—how about an Ayrloom Half-and-Half lemonade-iced tea, with a 2:1 THC-to-CBD ratio, for just $5? There’s also a Honeycrisp flavor. You can check out Super Fly’s inventory online too.
