Next door at 725 Columbus Avenue, Columbus Natural Food permanently closed its doors back in 2023, citing landlord development plans. It isn’t immediately clear why this Subway location closed, but both 725 and 731 have an alternate address of 95 West 95th Street, indicating that it may have closed for the same reason.In 2020, Hunan Park closed its location at 721 Columbus Avenue (also part of the same address).

The location’s most recent food grade was a B, scoring 26 points at the time of its last inspection in December 2024 (28 or more points results in a C).
