Fresh Food for Seniors is a program that offers organic produce to seniors residing on the Upper West Side. The seniors who sign up for the program get the fresh groceries delivered to them every other week for only $8. The only requirement to join the program is to sign up one week before the official pick-up dates. These dates will occur bi-weekly between the months of August and November. Seniors can also pick up their groceries at The Goddard Riverside Senior Center and other centers around the neighborhood. The center is located at Columbus Avenue between W. 89th and W. 88th streets. Furthermore, each grocery bag comes with a selection of inventive recipes as well as tips on how to expertly cook the week’s produce.
