Quality Branded Opens Southeast Asian Restaurant at Shops at Columbus Circle

Quality Branded has opened a brand-new restaurant in Columbus Circle.

Twin Tails, a 140-seat Southeast Asian eatery, has opened on the third floor of the Shops at Columbus Circle, joining the restaurant group’s other recent addition (from Feb 2023), Bad Roman, and the nearby Shake Shack, which opened back in March of this year.

Twin Tails offers plates inspired by Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Laotian cuisines, in a space Eater New York describes as “retro-futuristic” and Quality Branded describes as a “supper club setting.”

“We’re not authentic or fusion,” Quality Branded CEO Michael Stillman told the NY Times. “But we’re trying to convey the food of the region in a high-end setting.”

The menu comes from chef and Quality Branded partner Craig Koketsu, the brainchild behind the group’s award-winning restaurant Park Avenue Summer (Autumn, Winter, Spring) and Quality Meats, according to their website.

The menu features a raw bar with oysters, yellowfin tuna, and salmon crudo, alongside appetizers such as Green Curry Escargot, King Crab & Uni Buns, and Bahn Khot with peekytoe crab. Smaller bites like Satay, and Spring and Summer Rolls are also available.

Fish entrees include Grilled Branzino, Red Curry Sea Bass, and Whole Live King Crab. If you are in the mood for meat, the Pork & Fowl Menu includes Coriander Grilled Chicken, Pad Kra Pao, and Lemongrass Ribs, while the steak menu features a Beef Shank Khao Soi with a crispy noodle salad.

The space looks unassuming from the outside with a brown exterior and “TWIN TAILS” in large white letters outside of the entrance doors. As you enter, the mood shifts as customers are led down a dark, mysterious hallway. Off the hallway is a speakeasy-style lounge, but if you continue you’ll be led into a large, elegant dining room with stunning views.

Dinner starts nightly at 5 p.m. Learn more at twintailsnyc.com or make a reservation on Opentable.
