When psychological thriller “You” first premiered in 2018, it became a cult classic thanks to suspenseful (and unbelievably gory) plot twists and an uber-creepy lead performance by “Gossip Girl” alum Penn Badgley. And now, fans are preparing to bid adieu to the streaming smash as it films the fifth and final season around New York City.

After shooting scenes on the Upper East Side last month, production is heading across the park to capture some potentially blood-curdling content on the Upper West Side.
Thanks to a Twitter/X user, it’s been revealed that “You” will film on Thursday, April 25 at 88th Street and Amsterdam Avenue — which means vehicles will be towed to the nearest legal spot if not moved by Wednesday, April 24 at 10 p.m. If you’re one of the unlucky ones who returns to their parking spot to find a missing car, call 311 for its location.
After WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike-related delays, “You” — which officially returns to the Big Apple for the first time since its inaugural season — kicked off production in late March. According to reports, it should wrap by August, and if the teaser trailer is anything to go by, it will be available to watch this year (though an exact release date is currently unconfirmed).
Originally based on buzzy books by author Caroline Kepnes, the fourth season of “You” ended with Joe fleeing London (after a murder spree, of course) with a wealthy new bride (played by English actress Charlotte Ritchie). Exact details of the next chapter remain mum, but based on previous seasons, we would venture to guess it’s not one for the faint of heart.
