New York may be in the midst of a heat advisory, but there are no days off in The City That Never Sleeps — even for Hollywood’s elite.

This week, filming for the upcoming thriller series The Better Sister will take place on the Upper West Side.
An adaptation of New York Times bestselling author Alafair Burke’s 2019 novel of the same name, the buzzy project — set to debut on Prime Video — is shooting on Tuesday, July 9 and Thursday, July 11.
According to a flyer posted in the area, Tuesday’s location will be 82nd Street and Riverside Drive, and on Thursday, neighborhood residents will be able to scope the set at Central Park West and 66th Street. Cars not moved by Wednesday, July 10 at 10 p.m. will be towed. As usual, 311 is your saving grace should your wheels go missing.
While details of the scenes being shot this week are unconfirmed, The Better Sister has all the makings of a nailbiter. Set amidst the dramatic world of high-powered lawyers, the official description best describes the plot, noting, “Chloe (Jessica Biel) moves through the world with her handsome lawyer husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and teenage son Ethan by her side while her estranged sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) hustles to make ends meet while trying to stay clean. When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, laying bare long-buried secrets.”

In a press release, Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, stated, “Beyond being an enticing thriller full of twists and turns, The Better Sister is a gripping story about family feuds and forgiveness. The brilliant duo of Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks are sure to bring these characters to life in the most authentic way.”
An airdate has yet to be announced. The Better Sister joins the ranks of other high-wattage small screen endeavors filming uptown in recent months, including the Robert DeNiro vehicle Zero Day and cult-favorite Netflix hit You.
I wish you’d stop posting locations and dates/timed.
It’s already bad enough we gotta move cars for these folks and deal with equipment trolleys and video junk lining the sidewalks, posting this only brings out bored gawkers who have no lives and only want to stand in the way.
Help STOP the INFUSION of FLAILING GAPERS!
