United Vein & Vascular Centers has leased a space at 21 West 86th Street (between Columbus and Central Park West), according to @TradedNY, which notes that the asking rent was approximately $22,500 per month. It looks like this location will be its first in NYC, according to their website. The “Varicose Vein & Vascular Specialists” offer “Relief for Bulging Veins, Fibroids, Knee Pain & More.”

Tap, the gluten-free Brazilian eatery at 267 Columbus Avenue (between 72nd and 73rd streets), is expanding into the space next door at 265 Columbus Avenue. “We are increasing our space by nearly 55%, adding a dedicated lounge area, more seating, a Brazilian graffiti mural to bring the vibe, and, very importantly for our guests, a experiential restroom (something they have asked for since day one!),” said Pedro Uchoa, Tap parter and CEO. They are expecting the expansion to be complete by April, but the current location will remain open during the renovation. Pedro tells us “The ‘experiential restroom’ is basically a restroom designed to be a standout part of the space. More than just functional, the idea is to take by surprise our guests and welcome them to the Amazon RainForest as soon as they step in. So at all our stores we bring a graffiti artist from Rio de Janeiro to do the murals, and in Astoria and Miami, we also have a experiential restroom with the whole restroom graffiti as the forest and also with bird sound inside. It’s been a big ask from our guests, so we’re making it a feature.”

THISBOWL, an Australian fast-casual chain which offers a variety of build-your-own rice bowls with a focus on healthy ingredients, has leased a space at 1880 Broadway (between 61st and 62nd streets), ConnectCRE reports. The company was founded in 2016 and has three existing locations in NYC (Rockefeller Center, Nomad and Noho) in addition to about fifty outlets on its home turf.

SoBol, a bowl and smoothie shop, opened a new location at 550 Columbus Avenue (between 86th and 87th streets) in late January. Offering “Acai Bowls, Fruit Smoothies, Waffles, & Beyond,” SoBol launched in Long Island in 2013 and now has about 80 locations (with over 50 in New York State). The newly opened Upper West Side outpost appears to be their first entry into Manhattan.

Industrious, a co-working space, opened earlier this month on the seventh floor of 1900 Broadway (between 63rd and 64th streets). According to its website, private offices are starting at $1,908 per month (and private “day passes” are available starting at $100). The spaces come fully furnished and memberships include a daily breakfast, access to meeting rooms and other Industrious locations (they’ve got a few in the city), and “Dedicated on-site support.”

Wendy’s has opened at 2565 Broadway (between 96th and 97th streets). The national burger chain currently has twelve locations in Manhattan, according to its website. We’re not sure how most Wendy’s locations perform on Google reviews, but this seems to be getting quite a few complaints over bad service.

Pure Blossoms Cannabis is opening at 716 Amsterdam Avenue (between 94th and 95th streets) next week. “The business is owned by the Rodriguez family, who have been residents of the West 90s for over 50 years,” a representative for the business told us, adding that sales will begin next week.
