New and Coming Soon: QQ Nails & Spa, Ooh La La, Aura Studio NYC, City Coffee & Bar

Signage is up for QQ Nails & Spa at 601 Amsterdam Avenue (between 89th and 90th streets), which was previously occupied by Aquarius Hardware. QQ Nails has locations dispersed throughout the city, including an outpost at 67th and Amsterdam Avenue. Currently displayed signage indicates there will be a 20% opening discount.

A vintage consignment shop called Ooh La La is opening soon at 60 West 75th Street, between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West (previously home to Jeannie’s Dream). The owner is Cassandra Goines, who initially launched her shop as a pop-up in Harlem. Learn more about the business here.

Aura Studio NYC, a yoga and pilates studio, will be having its grand opening on Thursday at 239 West 72nd Street (on the second floor), between Broadway and West End Avenue. “From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll be welcomed into an atmosphere of refined tranquility and personalized care,” according to the business’ website. “Led by Shannon, one of New York City’s top-rated private yoga instructors, our team is dedicated to making every visit feel intentional, supportive, and uniquely yours.” The grand opening celebration will include a live DJ and drinks, faffles, pop-up surprises, and collaborations with Lululemon and Picky Barista. City Coffee & Bar opened at 914 Columbus Avenue (between 104th and 105th streets) about a year ago, but as more of a daytime eatery. They’re currently wrapping up renovations to make the space a more popular nightlife destination, with a new sound system and extra TVs. They’ll also be adding more Spanish dishes to the menu. A soft-opening party for the the new City Coffee & Bar will be taking place on Saturday, September 20. More info about that here.
