Le Botaniste, a plant based organic food and wine bar, opened its doors at 156 Columbus Avenue (between 66th and 67th Streets) on Wednesday, November 4. The last occupant at this location was a Starbucks.
Le Botaniste’s website describes the restaurant as a “healthy, delicious plant-based organic food and natural wine bar; a responsible food concept that cares about health and our planet; a positive way to appreciate food; 100% botanical, 99% organic, gluten-free.”

- Spreads include green pea hummus, seaweed tartare and red beet caviar.
- Bowls include spicy chili sin carne, vegetable tajine and “magic miso”.
- Desserts include red fruit chia pudding, quinoa peanut butter cookie and key lime pie.
- And drinks include botanical lemonade, detox juice and a selection of natural wines.

Le Botaniste has additional locations in Soho, Midtown East and on the Upper East Side. Online reviews are pretty stellar for all locations. They also have three locations in Belgium, where they launched in 2015.
