An Upper East Side restaurant serving Thai and Vietnamese cuisines recently expanded with a new location at 917 Columbus Avenue (corner of West 105th Street).
Koo Thai announced its grand opening this past Saturday, offering a 20% discount on cash payments through the end of the month.
The menu includes a wide range of fried rice and noodle plates, noodle soups, wok dishes, curries and more. They also offer a selection of milk teas and slushees.

The original UES location is at 1758 First Avenue (between 91st and 92nd streets) and has very good reviews–a 4.8 score on Google, based on 330 reviews at the time of writing. Some highly-praised items include their Drunken Noodles, brown sugar boba, taro, pad see ew, and curry puffs.
The Upper West Side location has perfect reviews so far, with early patrons complimenting its reasonable prices, fresh and original flavors, and friendly service.
Koo Thai’s new space was previously occupied by Mekong, which opened in 2018 (replacing Tum & Yum). Mekong also served both Thai and Vietnamese dishes.
