At long last, Key Food has arrived on the corner of 88th & Broadway (2401 Broadway)! This area has been hungry for a supermarket for years, and with the opening of the Upper West Side’s third Key Food location, that void has finally been filled.
The store is now in its soft-opening phase, and a grand opening will take place in early November. Expect extra special grand-opening sales next month.
The 7,200 square foot space, formerly occupied by Duane Reade, has been fully renovated with newly polished concrete floors, a new HVAC system, exposed ceilings and elegant overhead lighting.
You’ll find all the usual suspects, from fresh produce to frozen favorites, plus some bonus features like a 16 foot stretch of both craft and standard beers.
The frozen section comes with six doors packed with ice cream, and there’s a “Cake” corner to satisfy all your sugary cravings.
For those of you who work from home, grab a quick and easy lunch at the salad bar, hot food section or deli.
Other highlights include a 45-foot meat section and a variety of kosher and international foods.
This Key Food location has two self-checkout stations and four cashier counters; there’s also a customer service counter where you can sign up for a Savings Club Card on the spot.
Key Food is now open at 2401 Broadway (88th Street) Monday-Friday from 7am-9:45pm and Saturday-Sunday from 8am-9:45pm. They also offer phone orders and free deliveries on orders above $50 between 86th and 96th streets. The store can be reached at 212-580-6000 and circulars can be viewed at keyfood.com.
