Joe Germanotta – the owner of Joanne Trattoria and father of Lady Gaga – has just announced a new series of free drag performances taking place at his Italian restaurant at 70 West 68th Street, between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West.

The first weekly performance of “Drag Me To Joanne’s” will take place on Valentine’s Day and will be hosted by Jupiter Genesis.

Per a press release, “the show will rotate New York’s best drag artists from week to week (and yes, there will be ample Lady Gaga action).”

There’s no cover charge; you’ll just have to pay for your food.

They’ve done a few of these shows over the last few months, but now they’ll be free and will take place on a regular basis.

Drag Me To Joanne’s has been a staple here at Joanne Trattoria over the last few months and we’re beyond thrilled to not only make it a weekly show, but a free show,” said Mr. Germanotta. “Where else in this city can you enjoy a terrific free drag show and authentic Italian food?”

The full lineup can be viewed on OpenTable; so far, three Wednesdays are scheduled.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and performances run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The opening night “will feature performances by special guests MARIYEA and Angel Au,” with later February shows to feature Lana Ja’Rae, Paloma and Blair Bitch.
