Last Saturday, the Glenn Crytzer Quartet performed in Central Park for a socially-distanced audience just north of 86th Street. As the turnout was great, Glenn will be returning with a bigger band this weekend!
Glenn Crytzer and his Sextet will be performing all 1920s music for an event they’ve titled “Gatsby in the Park.” Folks will be out dressed up in vintage garb picnicking between 3:30-6:30pm and they’ll play two sets between 4pm and 6pm with a break in the middle. People are encouraged to dress up, though it is not required.
There is no charge to attend, but the band asks that attendees tip the musicians generously as musicians are out of work due to the current Covid crisis! The tip jar will be out for cash, but you can also make donations through Venmo and Paypal.

“Dancing is A-OK. But we respectfully request that you please ‘dance with who brung you’ – if we see folks swapping partners around and feel like we’re contributing to something unsafe, we’ll stop the show! It’s important that we keep this safe!
The rain date is Sunday The 27th, same times.
Here’s the official event page.
