Studio 79, a recently opened fashion and jewelry showroom on the second floor of 224 West 79th Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam), has started to partner with local artists and musicians to bring weekly events to the Upper West Side.

The events are all free, and so are the food and drinks – which are being provided by Zabar’s, Tarallucci e Vino and Beacon Wine & Spirits.
Upcoming events include a book talk; two concerts (one violin and piano duet, another holiday caroling concert); a photography exhibit; and a holiday popup featuring local artists and vendors.
The artists and vendors who will be showcasing their products will also be receiving 100% of the profits.
Check out the list of free events here.
Studio 79 was founded by Marialuisa Garito and Virve Deutsch, two already-successful business owners who showcase their items in the space. Garito is the owner of Affordable Chic, a women’s clothing brand offering luxury items for under $100. Deutsch runs Virve Jewelry, an NYC-based design company with original designs and handcrafted, locally made jewelry.
