Four tenants have leased space at 667 Columbus Avenue – part of the new retail corridor at the base of a residential building on 93rd Street (which has been under development for the last several years).
Bizjournals.com has confirmed the following companies will be opening at the site:
Orangetheory Fitness will be opening a 3,600 studio. This will be the fitness company’s second Upper West Side location; a studio at 120 West 72nd Street opened in early 2019.
Coffee place Peaky Barista has also secured a second location in the neighborhood. The first location opened in September 2019 at 2680 Broadway, between 102nd and 103rd Streets.
Cleanlab Cleaners, a dry cleaner, also leased space at the new site. They will be relocating from a location at 230 West 79th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam.
And Morningside PlayCare, an early childhood education center, leased a 3,000 square foot space. They have another location at 501 West 123rd Street.

According to Biz Journals, the listing brokers – David LaPierre and Kristen Crossman of CBRE – have two remaining retail spaces at the site, respectively measuring 2,900 and 3,150 square feet.
The architect of the 15,000 square foot retail project, Beyer Blinder Belle, states on its website that “The building was originally set back from the street wall, resulting in awkward and underutilized outdoor spaces. A transparent, undulating double-height design for the retail addition creates a modern and inviting street wall presence, enhancing the pedestrian experience and generating 15,000SF of salable retail space fronting Columbus Avenue.”

The firm further states that “The project also includes a repositioned residential entrance lobby, landscaped outdoor terraces for residents, a children’s playground, and other amenities.”
The developer, Stellar Management, had originally targeted a construction completion date of 2018.
