A day that drew crowds to Central Park in record-tying warmth turned ugly Tuesday when a violent dispute left a woman slashed and bleeding — and her attacker still on the loose.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, was slashed in the neck, hand and leg around 1:30 p.m. near Center Drive and 63rd Street. She was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The attack stemmed from a simmering feud between two female food vendors over turf in the park, according to ABC7. Tuesday’s confrontation was not their first — during a previous run-in on Christmas Eve, it was the eventual victim who had been the aggressor.

The suspect fled on foot in the direction of the Heckscher Ballfields alongside her husband and son. As of Wednesday, police were still searching for her.

The assault played out as the park teemed with visitors on a 79-degree afternoon that tied a daily temperature record.
