Green Lane Coffee, which opened last year at 204 West 96th Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue), was broken into early this morning.
Dmitry Miroshnichenko, the owner, told us it happened at about 4 a.m., and that the burglar took $70 from the register, all of the orange juice, some pastries and pastry bags.

Miroshnichenko filed a police report and provided the NYPD with surveillance footage from his store.
The suspect removed the lock from the door and left a bit of a mess, but Green Lane Coffee is thankfully open.
Green Lane Coffee, which also has a spot on the Upper East Side, opened a little over a year ago to replace Gertrude Coffee, which was open from August 2020 until it closed in April 2024. The majority of Green Lane’s reviews are positive, with frequent praise for their matcha and cold brew, among other beverages.
