Update (Nov 14): the individual described below has been found and is safe.
An Upper West Side building super has reportedly been missing since Wednesday.
Residents of 225 West End Avenue (at 70th Street) have shared flyers on various outlets, including Reddit and Facebook, in the hopes that someone will find Alberto Saldaña, 69.
An NYPD official tells ILTUWS that Saldaña was last seen leaving his building at about 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6. Authorities describe him as “approximately 5’4” in height, weighing 170lbs, medium complexion with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue checkered pajama pants, and red and black sneakers.”
Per one of the flyers, he left the building “with no particular direction.”
According to NBC New York, Saldaña is a father of six who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. His relatives told the outlet that he has wandered off before, but this is the first time he’s done so without bringing his cell phone.
Family members also told NBC that he left without his medication, which helps him with his memory.
The flyer asks that anyone with information call his relatives at (646) 691-7935, (347) 595-3424, (689) 233-4417, or (646) 972-47423.
