Apple TV has released the trailer for “Central Park”, an animated musical comedy coming out this May (via tvguide.com). It was originally scheduled to be featured at this year’s SXSW, but the event has been cancelled over Coronavirus fears.
Central Park was created by Loren Bouchard and Nora Smith, who respectfully created and executive produced Bob’s Burgers.
The cast includes Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr, Tituss Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs and Kathryn Hahn.
The main characters of the show are the Tillerman family. They live in Central Park and manage it. Owen, Paige and their children – Molly and Cole – must care for the park while protecting it from hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham, who wants to buy the park and convert it to condos …
Central Park was developed at 20th Century Fox Television and was originally supposed to air on FOX, but they ultimately passed on the series. A bidding war between Apple, Netflix and Hulu soon followed, and on March 12th of 2018, it was announced that Apple had committed to two-seasons and a total of 26 episodes.
According to tvguide.com, the first three episodes of Central Park will premiere May 29th on Apple TV+, with the remaining new episodes rolling out weekly.
