A First Look Inside the Vandewater Residences

Vandewater is the first luxury condominium of its kind on Manhattan’s West Side, combining 183 luxuriously appointed studio to four bedroom residences with 24,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities.

Developed by Savanna and designed by INC Architecture & Design, Vandewater rises 33 stories in the heart of historic Morningside Heights at 543 West 122nd Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. The building is a fresh representation of the local Neo-Gothic architecture, reflecting the neighborhood’s contemporary academic atmosphere and architectural traditions.

The residences boast oversized casement windows, stained white oak hardwood floors, state-of-the-art kitchens and baths, and private terraces in select homes.

Two new model residences now display the building’s interiors for the very first time and are available for in-person tours.

One model residence, a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home designed by INC Architecture & Design, displays a palette that is mature, high contrast and natural with hints of calming colors. The space is casual and sophisticated, yet instilled with warmth through a careful curation of art and accessories.

The second model apartment, a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home designed by Jessica Gersten Interiors, comes with mid-century and vintage-inspired details featuring simple lines in warm textures and a little bit of luster throughout. Furnishings like a light fixture by Aparatus Studio offer warmth and radiance thanks to aged brass and patina details.

Both model apartments feature kitchens with custom light oak cabinetry with pewter hardware, honed quartzite countertops and backsplashes and honed Brown Antique granite island countertops.

The master bathrooms feature honed Windsor Cream marble walls and floor tile and custom pewter fixtures and accessories throughout.

Vandewater residences range from $940,000 to $6,000,000.  Initial occupancy is anticipated for late this year. In addition to INC’s interiors and amenities, the exterior landscaping and intimate private gardens, all designed by the celebrated Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, will be installed early next year.
