The 2019 New York Comedy Festival will run from Monday, November 4th to Sunday, November 10th. They’ll be a ton of great comics to enjoy at locations all across the city. Personally, I laughed when I saw Kevin Smith and Jay Mews as part of the lineup. Some major stars will also be performing on the UWS.
Created in 2004, The New York Comedy Festival is a 7 day laugh fest hosting 100 plus shows and 200 plus comedians, all across the 5 boroughs. The festival is produced in part by Comedy Central, the Huffington Post, and Caroline’s on Broadway. Portions of the proceeds go to different charities.
The People’s Choice Awards also took notice and created an award called “The Opening Act”; this competition selects a new stand up comedian to open for one of the headliners.
