Trek Bicycle will be opening up a location at 156 West 72nd Street, according to filing documents provided to us by our tipster, who goes by ‘Upper West Sider’.
Located between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues, this space was previously occupied by Blades West and Le Petit Kids (Le Petit Kids is now located at 224 Columbus Avenue, between 70th and 71st Streets).
Trek Bicycle currently has four locations in the city, including one at 231 West 96th Street. Their other NYC locations are on the Upper East Side, Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea.
Once open, Trek’s closest competitor will be Master Bike, located at 265 West 72nd Street (between West End and Broadway).
In addition to standard bike sales, Trek Bicycle offers rentals, custom-made bikes, e-bikes, equipment and apparel.
