Lincoln Square is getting a new Dunkin’. Signage for the coffee and doughnut chain has gone up, though there’s no word yet on when it’ll open.
The new store is on West 61st Street between West End Avenue and Freedom Place South.
The new location comes as Dunkin’ tightens its grip on the city. For the 18th year in a row, it had more stores than any other chain in New York City, with 623 locations, according to the Center for an Urban Future’s annual State of the Chains report, released in December 2025. The report also found that 2025 was the first year Dunkin’ passed Starbucks as Manhattan’s top chain, making it number one in all five boroughs.
Dunkin’ wasn’t completely immune to the broader retail pullback, though. It finished 2025 with three fewer stores than the year before. Citywide, the number of chain stores fell 1.3 percent, a net loss of 112 stores, with Starbucks closing 42 locations, more than any chain that didn’t leave the city entirely.
