About a week after the New York Post reported that former Mayor de Blasio was smooching with a new lady at the Empire Hotel Rooftop – a story we picked up and got brutally slammed for – NY1 has revealed he might be doing more than just necking in the neighborhood.

According to the publication, the 62-year-old former mayor has signed a one-year lease on a one-bedroom apartment in the Lincoln Square area.
NY1 got this intel from “a source familiar with de Blasio” who told the paper he’ll be splitting his time between the UWS and Park Slope, where he shares a brownstone with his wife Chirlane McCray and works out at a YMCA. The source added that this change is temporary and that de Blasio just “wanted to try something new.”
The former first pair are still married but separated and seeing other people.
It’s not clear what he’s paying or where the apartment is exactly, but the average rent for a one-bedroom in this area is about $4,400.
